Terms & Conditions
These T&Cs are relevant to any transaction entered in to with Hotel Les Aravis, 47 Route de Thônes 74450 Saint Jean de Sixt. To this end, the client acknowledges the existence of the T&Cs and undertakes to adhere to them.
These T&Cs can be modified at any time, and the applicable conditions will be those in force on the date on which the reservation is made.
ARTICLE 1 – PRICES
The prices detailed are in € Euro and inclusive of VAT, and take into account the VAT applicable on the day of the reservation.
Any change in the applicable rate, or any modification or introduction of new legal taxes introduced by the relevant/competent authorities, will be automatically reflected in the prices indicated on the billing date.
The rates are per room for the number of people indicated and relate to the period selected and do not include services (unless otherwise stated).
A tourist tax of 0.90 € per day and per person (over 18 years old) is included in the price displayed when making the reservation. It applies all year round.
Certain services may be subject to an additional charge and are subject to possible changes without notice.
Bookings made prior to the introduction of a promotional rate will not be in part, or fully refunded to take benefit from the promotional rate.
ARTICLE 2 – RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT
Reservations can be made by visiting www.hotelaravis.com, by phone or by e-mail.
A booking is only confirmed following the payment of a deposit by the client, and after receipt by them of a confirmation of the reservation.
Payment for all services will be made directly to the hotel (with the exception of pre-paid bookings).
The hotel reserves the right to refuse any reservation in the event that the credit card number is incorrect or the booking is incomplete.
All reservations, regardless of their origins, will be payable in local currency -€ Euro – only.
Hotel Les Aravis accepts the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and
has a secure reservations system (SSL) that protects and encrypts all sensitive data transmitted to the reservation to prevent disclosure to a third party.
Payment of the deposit will be made by credit card.
The client is solely responsible for his/her choice of services and their suitability to his/her requirements. Hotel Les Aravis cannot be held liable in the event of any errors made by the client.
ARTICLE 3 – CHANGES TO BOOKINGS / CANCELATIONS
Any amendment to or cancellation of the booking must be made in writing by email to info@hotelaravis.com or by telephoning 04 50 51 61 95.
The request will not be actioned until Hotel Les Aravis has confirmed back in writing.
In the case of an amendment or cancellation to the booking, the following conditions apply:
- The amount of the deposit is equal to 30% of the total cost of the stay and will be charged at the time of booking. This amount is not refundable.
- Where the request is made within 7 days of the expected date of arrival, the full amount of the stay will be charged.
- After this deadline or in the event of no-show on the scheduled arrival date, you will be charged the full amount of the stay.
- Any stay which has begun but is then curtailed will be payable in full for the original stay length.
- In the case of a shortened stay, a delayed arrival date, an amendment to the number of guests or any other alteration to the original booking, the deposit paid will not be refunded or deducted from any resulting invoice. The balance of the outstanding sums of the original booking will be due.
ARTICLE 4 – HOTEL AND FACILITIES
The rooms will be available for check-in from 1600 on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, rooms must be vacated by 1000. Failure to vacate your room by check out time may result in additional charges. In the event that you anticipate your arrival time to be later than 1900, please contact us beforehand to let us know.
Guests accept and agree to use the room reasonably and with care. Furthermore, any behaviour deemed anti-social will result in the hotelier having to ask the client to leave the establishment without any compensation and or without any refund of any payments already made. Conduct/behaviour that we reasonably consider inappropriate/unacceptable includes but is not limited to: creating an inappropriate level of noise and/or drunken or unruly behaviour and/or any behaviour which other guests or staff find offensive in any way.
ARTICLE 5 – RELOCATION
In the event that Hotel Les Aravis hotel is not available or in the event of force majeure, the hotelier reserves the right to relocate the client to a hotel of an equivalent or higher category, offering an equivalent standard of services. The transfer will then be at the responsibility of the hotelier, who will not be held liable thereafter for any payment or additional compensation.
ARTICLE 6 – COMPLAINTS
Any complaint must be made in writing and addressed to Hôtel Les Aravis by registered letter within 15 days of the departure of the stay during which the complaint arose. Beyond this 15 day period, no complaint will be entertained.
ARTICLE 7 – DATA AND PRIVACY
Pursuant to Law 78-17, known as the Data Protection Act, clients are notified that their booking is stored by way of computerized data. You have the right to obtain confirmation of whether, and where, we are processing your personal information; information about the categories of personal information we hold, the purposes for which we hold your personal information and information as to how we determine applicable retention periods and a copy of the personal information we hold about you. Details of this can be obtained by contacting SARL Hotel Les Aravis 47 Route de Thones 74450 Saint Jean de Sixt. The information we hold is not shared with third parties. The information we hold is for the intended use of contacting you personally.
We reserve the right to use cookies. A cookie does not allow us to identify you; however, it records information relating to your computer’s browsing on our site (the pages you have visited, the date and time of the visit, etc.) that we can read during your subsequent visits. The retention period of this information on your computer is 6 months. It simply stores the information you have just provided to us so that you will not need, on your next visit, to fill out the form that we have proposed to you again. We notify you that you can reject the use of “cookies”. Cookies help us enhance your experience when using the Site. They also help us understand how people use our site, such as which pages are most popular, so that we can better serve Site users.
Hotel Les Aravis offers wireless internet access. The guest user undertakes that the computer resources made available to him/her will not be used in any way that infringes another party’s copyright, without the express permission / authorization of the copyright holders as detailed in books I and II of the intellectual property code stipulating when this authorization is required.
ARTICLE 8 – RESPONSIBILITIES
We respectfully remind you that any items brought into the Hotel, its car parks or grounds including valuables and audio visual equipment, are brought in at your own risk. The Hotel shall not be held responsible for the damage or loss of any property owned by the guest or anyone connected to the guest’s event/stay at the Hotel, whether the items were left before, during or following your stay.
Through the use of CCTV and appropriate security measures the Hotel seeks to minimise the opportunity for the theft of or loss of guests property. You should use your own insurance policies to claim the full amount of any loss or damage to your property.
The guest is responsible for any damage caused by any member of his/her party, in any part of the Hotel and shall pay for such damage or loss of business caused as a result.
All items and furniture in your room is the property of the Hotel. We therefore reserve the right to charge you for the full replacement cost for any item or piece of furniture removed from your room. If you, or any member of your party, damage any bedding or linen, we reserve the right to charge you for specialist cleaning. Lost keys will result in a charge for replacement keys being levied. If the damage is deemed an act of vandalism, the Hotel reserves the right to ask you to leave without any reimbursement for any part of your stay not yet delivered.
ARTICLE 9 – APPLICABLE LAW
These General Conditions of Sale are governed by French law. Any and all disputes- financial or material- will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
